Pineapple Classic performance!

Here's the scoop for the Pineapple Classic on Saturday, November 10th for those who are dancing. If you aren't dancing, come to watch if you like!

Call time is 11:00 a.m., show at 12 noon (45 minute show).

Aunty Manu has graciously agreed to schedule "To Make You Love Me, Ku'uipo" near the beginning of the show.

"For You" will close the show. If you know it, you'll be dancing!

Hair and makeup will be as usual for any performance: hair (including bangs) off the face and pulled back into a bun (sitting around the crown of your head), gelled for a smooth look. Eye shadow in neutral colors, red lipstick.

False eyelashes, if you wish, but probably not necessary.

Mu'u mu'u of choice and hairpiece for "For You". Maile lei (worn open) is a must, as the lei is referred to in the mele :-)

Dress warmly and wear shoes you can kick off easily just before going on stage. We're in a horse barn (!) so not much in the way of creature comforts like carpeted (or even heated) floors.

The weather prediction so far is for 20% chance of rain and it will be colder (in the 40's) than it's been lately. Be prepared for anything, though!

It's about 30 miles east of Seattle, off I-90.

When get close to the venue,  let the parking attendant know you are performing and need to carry costumes in. They will direct you to parking spots nearest the barn.

Because you are performing, you will receive a ticket for a free lunch as a thank you. You are also entitled to a pineapple - they have massive quantities usually, so feel free to take a couple. They are outside of the barn, so you can pick them up on the way out.
