This might help you with the rhythm and tone of the oli we reviewed in class November 13th.
This is the voice of Kumu Hula John Keola Lake (1937-2008) who started the first Hawaiian language ('olelo) class in 1965.

The written words in the video are not completely correct, however, Kumu Lake says what Aunty Edith wrote (and what you have printed).
You can hear the ʻiʻi - the Hawaiian dictionary explains this as "admired deep, rasping sound in chanting; tremor; guttural quality of some sounds, as back vowels or strongly aspirated."
Notice the emotion and force of his oli; you can tell it comes from within. An oli can be really powerful.
